Marvel Time Machine

Captain America Number 1 Comic
Amazing Fantasy Number 15

This is a private, after-hours event limited to groups of 20 or fewer.

What’s your earliest Marvel memory?  Perhaps it’s something as relatively recent as Spiderman: Homecoming (2017) or maybe a little further back with The Incredible Hulk TV series (1977).  Maybe you’re a bit more seasoned and remember the early days of Thor in Journey into Mystery (starting in 1962).  Or maybe you’re largely aware of Marvel solely from movie trailers and don’t know the difference between the Human Torch and the Original Human Torch.  Regardless of your level of Marvel mastery, this exclusive event will fill gaps that you didn’t know existed.  You will dive deep into the history of Marvel Comics from 1939-today as presented by our curator, Director, and founder Allen Stewart, one of the foremost comic book historians.   We’ll explore the the creators, the artists, the heroes, and the villains. We’ll discuss Marvel comics, toys, television, animation, and movies from 1944’s Captain America serial to the latest films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.   This 90 minute event includes a personally guided tour through Marvel history, viewing the top 5 rarest Marvel comic books from our archives (including the rare Captain America #1 from 1941), the Marvel Movie Experience (photos on the 2007 Ghost Rider motorcycle, the Shelby Cobra from 2008’s Iron Man, and a photo with Captain America’s shield), and a Hall of Heroes souvenir comic book autographed by Allen.  On-line reservations are pending.  In the meantime, call the museum at 574-333-3406 for more info and pricing. ‘ Nuff said!  Excelsior!
